Uniting Colleges Through Tap was formed by Corinne Karon in 2008. The company consists of students from Philadelphia-area colleges, including Bryn Mawr College, Haverford College, Rowan University, Temple University, Drexel University, University of the Arts and University of the Arts - Continuing Education Department.
The purpose of the company is to educate and entertain. At its annual concert, every piece tributes one of the masters of tap. This allows the students to learn as much as they can about the styles of these masters, giving dancers the confidence to pass on the history of this truly American art form.
